The environment for this dance piece are two escalators next to each other with different directions. So, the performance doesn’t take place in the static setting of a stage, here the stage is continuously moving. This is the forcible impulse for the choreography. Escalators exist everywhere in the technical world and we are very used to them. The occasion to create this piece was to observe the mechanical pattern and physical reactions on it. The choreography confronts the organic construction of an human body with the mechanics of a machine.
